1 Peter 3:9
9 Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will grant you his blessing.

- Peter commands persecuted believers to break cycles of retaliation, using Christlike blessings to counter hostility because inheriting divine grace obligates us to extend undeserved kindness to a broken world.
- We can reflect on people who have been hostile to us or less than kind. Our blessings come when we act Christlike and that may look like intentionally speaking well of, praying for, and practically serving people who treat us badly, destroying their hostility with unexpected kindness. Wow. Let this guide our thoughts today.
