1 Peter 2

9 But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal
priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can
show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his
wonderful light.

-Whether Jew or gentile, those who believe are chosen by God. A
royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God,” so too believers
today are chosen and are priests and are holy and belong to God. Believer and
or priests should live so that their heavenly Father’s qualities are evident in
their lives. They are to serve as witnesses of the glory and grace of God, who
called them out of darkness into His wonderful light. As God has given us
mercy, we too should extend mercy to others. Not let them walk all over you but
mercy meaning always shine God’s Light to them. Let this guide our thoughts
today.
