Let this guide our day today

2 Peter 1:3

3 By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life.
We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to
himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.

-The first thing we recognize here is that Peter is saying the Father and the Son are the same. Peter asserts that Christians
are fully equipped to live a life pleasing to God, to overcome any obstacle they face, and to persevere under trial.

-Peter didn’t have this confidence while walking with Jesus but once Jesus ascended to
heaven and Peter began the journey Jesus asked of him, it was then that this
confidence surfaced. As we walk the path Jesus laid out for us in these Holy
Scriptures our faith surfaces and His power through us overcomes all obstacles.
