January - Day 5

Let this guide our day today

Ephesians 1 NLT  4 Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. 5 God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.  

- Here Paul applies to believers a concept that formerly applied to Israel alone. Just as God chose Israel as His treasured possession, He now elects believers to receive the blessings mediated through Christ.  

- Why would you let others and world direct your paths knowing that the plan of the enemy is to destroy you mind, body, and spirit? Pour your life into the ONE who adopts those who believe. It gives God great pleasure to be your God and Father and all that comes with no lack, no limits, and no boundaries. Let this guide our thoughts today.
