Let this guide our day today

Proverbs 3 NLT  11 My child, don’t reject the LORD’s discipline, and don’t be upset when he corrects you. 12 For the LORD corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.  

• Willingness to accept discipline is a characteristic of the wise. The author of Hebrews quotes these verses when encouraging readers to endure through life’s struggles.  

• To ask God to refrain from giving us discipline would be to ask him to love us less.  

• Remember, many of our struggles are the Lord removing our fleshly desires or earthly thoughts and giving us the mind of Christ that will accomplish victory over all adversities. Let this guide our thoughts today.
