Psalms 121 NLT
3 He will not let your foot slip-he who watches over you will not slumber;

- "Not let your foot slip," An image of stability. In the OLD TESTAMENT, losing one's footing is an expression for disaster. "Will not slumber". Here, God is a nighttime guard who does not doze off.
- Remember this. You may feel like you're losing your footing or disaster is on the immediate horizon but the Lord God Almighty who will not slumber or sleep is moving while you're sleeping. Sometimes fixing the situation is fixing us first or metaphorically speaking teaching us how to walk on uneven pavement. Securing our footing in HIM, so to say.
