Revelation 1 NIV
5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, 6 and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father-to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen. 

-In His dying on the cross Christ who loves us is the One who freed us from our sins by His blood. The two nouns, 'kingdom' and 'priests' are closely joined indicating that these are two separate roles and that they take effect together; if believers are priests now, they are also kings now. We are the Kings, kings and priests of the High Priest, Jesus Christ here on this earth. Believers reign by using the Word of God. The word 'kingdom' is used instead of kings to stress the unity of believers, not everyone doing his own thing. 
-With Christ, we stand above all evil. No evil can ever overcome us.
