Job 5:17-18
17 “But consider the joy of those corrected by God! Do not despise the discipline of the Almighty when you sin. 18 For though he wounds, he also bandages. He strikes, but his hands also heal.

- God uses painful discipline to correct us, but He always provides complete healing and restoration. His hands smash human pride to pieces only to carefully bind up and cure the broken person.
- Don’t look at your challenging situations as punishment from God. To discipline and correct is where healing and strength come from. God is not out to just fix your issue. He’s not your genie. To give us what we want will cause us to fall deeper the next time. His way strengthens us for generations. Let this guide our thoughts today.
