9 Masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Don’t threaten them; remember, you both have the same Master in heaven, and he has no favorites.

- In Graeco-Roman society, masters had the right to treat slaves as they saw fit. Paul commands masters to set aside their rights and to instead treat their slaves with kindness as people who are equal before Christ.

-For those who believe no one is greater than the other. God has no favorites. Also, remember that those who treat you less than kind will also have to deal with the Master in heaven. Be at peace in all circumstances. Let this guide our thoughts today.
